Brief : Research follow, Mainly engaged in study of geology and mineral resources assessments.

Yang Hequn was born in 1953, obtained bachelor degree of geochemistry from Peking University in 1982 and master degree of mineral deposits from Xi’an Institute of Geology in 1989. He had been worked in Xi’an Center of Geological Survey as director of department of mineral resources assessment, and now has been the director of Mineral Rocks and Geochemistry Association and committee member of academic evaluation committee. Since he graduated from school, he has been engaging in geology and mineral resources assessment. He has overtaken 4 key projects of national geological survey, and obtained a fourth award for science and technology achievement from the former ministry of geology and minerals resources and a first prize for science and technology from Shaan xi government. Such as follows:

1.      Research on metallogenic regularity of copper sulfide nickel deposit in Northwest, in 1982—1985.

2.      Research on metallogenic condition and prospecting direction of platinum group elements in Xijiang Province, 1986—1994.

3.      Research on metallogenic model and prospecting prediction of copper deposit in the west of North Qilian Mountain, 1996—2000.

4.      Research on prospecting of metallogenic belt in Beishan, 2003—2005.

5.      Assessment of polymetallic ore in Yueya Mountain, Inner Mongolia, 2006—2007.

In the nearly years, he has been engaged in research on transformation from ore genesis theory into prospecting and improvement of prospecting. He led a team to explore the Guoqing tungsten ore and South Porphyry Copper in Beishan district, inner Mongolia, to select a target of marine volcanic effusion copper in Biyu Ridge and to discover the sulfide copper ore. Beside that, he also participated to compile 2 monographs and published over 40 academic articles in formal issue of the journal. The main representative articles are as follows:
